"Barry’s greed leads him into temptation, bringing him into contact with the criminal underworld, wicked beyond imagination. Disaster is the reward, for himself, and his business, as well as family and friends who face blackmail, murder and arson."

The subject of genetics no longer belongs to the realm of science fiction. In fact, it is the centre of many heated, bitter, political, religious and ethical arguments, which have the potential to threaten law and order.

In order to avoid public unrest and confrontation, it may be possible that a government might feel it necessary to pass laws restricting genetic research to secret government establishments, making all private initiatives illegal.

When ill-considered legislation restricts public access to a commodity or service, the market value soars, and it is not long before the underworld recognises an opportunity to make a profit. Prohibition and the current drug market are prime examples of this process.

In 'The Copy Business', criminals thrive at the expense of the innocent and the naïve, who unwittingly expose friends, colleagues and family to a world of murder, blackmail, sexual harassment, divided loyalties and corruption; only for them to be rescued in the end by the more attractive qualities of courage, love, loyalty, duty and the eventual triumph of good over evil.
